ChiroTouch offers EHR software for chiropractors. The latest release, ChiroTouch Version 5.2, has received complete ONC-ATCB certification. This certification is required in order to receive Medicare Meaningful Use incentives. Chiropractors interested in obtaining these incentives are required by law to use a certified EHR software.

ChiroTouch is designed for offices with one to twenty-five providers. It is a full practice management solution that combines electronic health records, chiropractic billing, patient scheduling, outcomes assessments, and inventory management in a single, integrated suite. The EHR has custom templates for chiropractors, along with image management, dynamic SOAP notes, and real-time patient flow with room management capabilities. The EHR provides lab integration and wireless support, and can be used on a PC or on an iPad through the CTProvider iPad app.

ChiroTouch's billing application features eligibility inquiry, claim scrubbing, automated batch posting, DME billing, workers’ compensation billing, and other capabilities. The scheduling application has appointment reminders, room scheduling, patient messaging, and a patient portal. The entire system is HIPAA compliant. Be sure to tell them that ChiroMonkey.com sent you!

ChiroTouch is a fully capable hybrid chiropractic software system with extended web capabilities through MyChiroTouch.com and other mobility apps for providers and patients. Chiropractors can send text and email reminders to patients, while patients can use the system to fill out intake and outcomes assessment forms online before their office visit. This feature saves time for both the doctor and the patient. The last time we checked, the complete ChiroTouch system ran approximately $15,000 which may not be feasible for most chiropractors, especially new doctors or those with smaller practices. We encourage you to contact them to discuss pricing or financing options that may be available. Overall, this is a very solid product that should serve the needs of most chiropractors. To learn more about ChiroTouch software, we recommend visiting them on the web. They also offer a free demo of their software. Be sure to tell them that ChiroMonkey.com sent you!

-Could never get a live person on the phone unless you called the sales number.
-Implementation and training was a disaster and never really got done.
-CT Community was a joke, nothing really answered our questions so we had to call in and of course,
leave a message because there were no live persons to talk to.
-Way to many windows boxes kept popping up and you would get lost in all the open windows.  The software would not go from screen to screen without another window opening up.  It became very confusing as to where things you needed were.
-The macros came very insufficient and a lot of programing was needed.
-Everything was difficult to figure out and not easy to do so.

Everything I was shown seemed good and it looked like it would do what I needed for my office but was very unfriendly for me or staff to learn.  Once signed up and in the end it was very cumbersome to use and getting help was very difficult, always having to leave messages, never a live person without a 15 minute was or call back, if they called back.  The calls we did get back were from other sales persons wanting us to buy some new add-on or other feature for the software.

Because ChiroTouch is impersonal, cumbersome to use, corporate in its feeling, way to many boxes always popping up and difficult to learn.  Help was always  hard to get as well as trying to schedule our remaining training sessions.  The only persons who ever called back were sales people trying to sell more add-ons.  They also would not cancel my contract and I had to pay for 7 months even when I wasn't using the software.  They said they could cancel it buy were not going to do so.

ChiroTouch makes a lot of bold promises and falls short of delivering anything helpful. Their guided install and tutorials are basically a self set up training that leaves you confused and with more questions than answers. Their Insurance/Billing is worse than what we had used in the past. The only plus side to the bloated software is the ease of documentation. However with the recent Adobe Flash issue it renders it nearly unusable and unless you are willing to fork over thousands of dollars a year for their lackluster "Support" it is not worth it. In my 20 years of practice this has to be the most expensive mistake I have made.

I am a started up a new practice and got this software thinking it was going to make life so much easier and I cannot fully express how far from the truth that is. It is HORRIBLY slow over wifi and I have to hardwire it in for it to even work. Even then, it lags. I also am mostly mobile and cannot use it out of office because it can't connect to the server. Each time I call tech support they tell me it's because I need to buy new equipment or upgrade my services. I bought a new computer and ipad specifically to be compatible with this awful software. It also doesn't include anything they tell you. It is literally JUST the note and scheduler. Billing, insurance look up, text and email reminders for patients, email, line booking and app. confirmation, online or in app intake forms, etc. are all extra fees (and are included with MANY other softwares). Additionally, it is EXTREMELY picky about what it will work with. I cannot sync it with my credit card processor (I use square which is super popular), it only worse with one ($400) scanner to scan in your own documents, only one digital imaging processor, or booking sites. Even worse, I'm now stuck in a year long contract and nothing works. Even on the desktop it shuts down all the time and I have to reboot the entire computer. NOTHING has been more of a headache for starting my practice than this program. Save yourself a world of frustration and DO NOT GET THIS SOFTWARE.

They told me I "could use it anywhere". It is brutally slow with wi-fi. Spent an hour on the phone getting transferred around only to have Tim tell me to hard wire. I spent the extra money on a VPN and CT just says it is the connection.

Everything. This company absolutely does not care about you! They sell their software banking on you fixing it.  That's right. Product cost me $5000 to have to put in tons of work to get it to be usable. It is NOT usable when they give it to you. In fact, it is really really bad. I spent a lot of money and time changing all the macros and then they did an update and erased ALL of my work. Complained on 3 occasions and they basically brushed me off and said I didn't do it right. Sad. That is not how you treat customers. So why should I improve it again? Why would I EVER spend my weekends fixing it again? I asked for compensation (free support that I rarely use). They said no way.  Actually tried to say they helped me so cannot give me credit. The only thing they did was make my headache worse! Practically laughed at me. How dare I ask for compensation. The only thing they are good at is sucking money out of my account! Stay away!  Do not buy!
Title: Worst software company I have ever used.

The WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. I am not the type to review a company, and was not going to, but after months of time wasted and being misled, all of my colleagues must know the dangers of using such a company that is more into making money over helping their client.

An awfully slow, ancient program with the worst customer service of any company I have ever worked with. I cancelled my subscription, and have continued to be charged for 2 months after being confirmed 4 times over the phone that my subscription was successfully terminated. Furthermore, I gave 30 days notice to cancel my subscription per our contract, and they were processing the cancellation, but instead just disregarded it, only to tell me that my 30 days notice was not sufficient. I called 5 days per week to verify, for the entire month prior to my cancellation to confirm, and every time I was told "yes, that cancellation is on my managers desk to process." Misleading phone calls after spending hours on hold.

They also are no help getting medical records. Anyone should be aware that just because they are the biggest chiro software company, they are not the best. They are far over priced, for outdated software, and the worst customer service out there. I have 2 other clinics that have used a total of 4 other software companies; all of which are better all around.

Chirotouch has been a great product for our office. It has a large platform so we can customize the notes system and use it features to streamline the processes in the office. I really benefited from the Direct Connect sessions with Cheryl Davenport who specializes in the billing part of the soft ware. She been incredible at simplifying how to use the soft ware so we can get the most out of it.

We have been using chirotouch for 18 months now.  It was difficult to learn and many of the "features" advertised are so complicated to use that it's easier to not use them.  I prepaid a year of tech support ($1700) and my staff regularly is on hold for over an hour.  We don't have time for that!  If you leave a message you don't get a call back.  Every transaction requires so many clicks that is very cumbersome.  We wish we never bought chirotouch.  Plus, it's over priced.

Current issue (detailed after) serious enough to cause patient info issues aside,  They fail short at most of what they do.  They have the worst customer support I've EVER come across. You cannot get a manager or help, I've been trying for 6 months.  The program is slow, clunky, and awkward.

The scheduler scroll wheel defaults to changing doctors, so it misschedules people once every other day or so, and we spend time correcting it each day.  The checkout area pauses for 3-5 seconds every time you post something.  The patient management gets messed up if you actually click on the search bar instead of just typing.  Inventory cant handle more than 100 items, so if you do you have to scroll to the bottom, and it adds 100.  So for 500 items, you have to scroll to the bottom, wait, scroll to bottom, wait, 5x times. The new update changed the layout, except only cosmetically.  It now looks like html5's generic style.  No seriously, it looks about as good as a web form.

As for my issue:  The internal payment system that they run messed up and took someone payment but applied a debt.  I can't change or delete it, and its been since august that this difference of $473 is on a patients account, and they won't change it.  They told me in september (30 days after, a dozen calls later) that its a known issue, and they are patching it and will update me.  Well, countless calls from my side later, they updated it a month ago, but it didn't fix the number.  We are now in 2018 and we still cant get an accurate report from the system because of it.  So, lets say they want a copy of their billing of 2017.  I cant give it to them without handwriting things on it, or recreating their entire history day by day, item by item.  I've asked and asked, and left messages, and never a call back.  Please don't support them, I regret our purchase.

I have a love/hate relationship with ChiroTouch.  I bought the certified server version at the beginning of 2014 for about $11,500.  One of the big reasons I like it was a reasonable support cost, $795 per year.  After beginning my own practice and using the software, I also bought an upgraded service pack for an additional $62/mo for data backup, patient text reminders, and CT Intake forms.  I dropped that after it went up to $100/mo.  I use a 3rd party text company that is $10/mo.  I also use Google Drive storage that costs me an additional $2/mo. And I just use a pdf for my intake forms. The $800 annual fee all of the sudden went to $1195/yr. (I hear rumors they are moving toward $1700 now, after only 4 years!!)

Here is the rest of my thoughts:

Pro's:  1. The main reason I like CT is the flags.  On the iPad I can see about a dozen dates of recent visits, and I use the flag for NUCCA to notate if the patient was holding or not.

2. All the apps integrate.  You don't have to update to other parts of the software, when you put something in, it communicates with the others.  So long as the iPad doesn't freeze, I can see when a patient checks in with less than one second till it shows up.

3. Partially customizable. You can set up time increments on the scheduler, colors,  types of appointments, fee schedules, etc.

Cons:  1. Partially customizable.  Doesn't even allow you to resize a window.  This is basic windows functionality that is not there.  You can't even right click for copy and paste.  I often snap a picture of my schedule for the next day, but have to scroll down for the bottom view.

2.  My major gripe, I had checked my schedule one night and missed an early appointment that didn't show.  It cost me money, my patient lost respect for me due to missing, and CT promised multiple times that I would hear back from a head manager within 24-48 hours.  They lied multiple times, I was never called back.  What happens is the provider view and the room view.  When you are in the provider view and you drag and drop an appointment, it deletes out the room number! Then it doesn't show.  I almost fired my secretary, until we found out it was a software glitch.

3.  Bad value support, as I described above, the cost went up 150%, and I keep getting pie crust promises for support.

4. Another weird thing is email, I cannot click the email receipt button, and have it dispatch from my email.  It is supposed to, but support couldn't help, and their instructions online talk about Windows Vista.

I still really like ChiroTouch, but they really need to deal with basic things instead of nickel and diming, and ignoring their clients.
