This EHR is ok for slow chiro clinics, but if you get built up, its just not worth it. The billing is terrible, the functionality is slow, and the whole system worked great for the first year, then we out grew it. The main reason I'm reviewing this company is that they have some pretty terrible business practices. We had a 1 year free trial, which when we started our practice was appealing. After the year was up, we decided to buy another software that was much better suited to serving a busy practice. They contacted us in November saying that we needed to pay. We explained that we already purchased a different EHR and didn't want theirs and they can cancel our account. That was the first month they charged us $189. They continued to charge us, never sent a bill, never sent an invoice, nothing. I was just completing our taxes and noticed that my personal credit card was being billed (it was on autopay...oops). Also, Leo Bronston, the rep that called my wife, yelled and swore at her saying that we were deadbeats etc... it was bad... She had no idea why he was calling as it was 4 months after our trial was up and we weren't even using their program.

Anyways, after I found the charges, I called BackChart asap. That lady was nice, but she couldn't give me the number to the guy who could fix it because she only had her email. Long story short we had to call our credit card company and dispute the charges.

I'm not even sure how they got my credit card number as I've got emails stating that they didn't have my credit card on file to bill (when they later called to try and get payment and we explained we weren't using their services and didn't want them).

So be careful with this company. I'm not sure if this program allows for remote support or not if that's how they got it.

BackChart has been a great asset to my practice. It is efficient and user-friendly, allowing me to spend less time charting while still writing a high-quality note. Helpful features include the macros function, the ability to export multiple notes at once, upload information from other healthcare providers, and reduce waste by implementing the Patient Portal. I have recommended BackChart to many of my colleagues and will continue to do so!

We started using BackChart chiropractic software in our office starting in April and were able to be up and running using the software exclusively in May. The training sessions were helpful and the ability to talk to someone directly about questions is a big plus. The templates are great and really save time, especially with initial examinations and re-exams. It's wonderful having chiropractic SOAP notes in the cloud and not have to worry about server management and a lot of technical up-keep.

I'm in a solo private practice and have been using the software for over a year now. I'm extremely happy with the program. The key features that helped me spend more time with patients and less time on paperwork were the patient portal - I'd send a link and they fill out their paperwork electronically prior to the visit including demographic information, health history and functional outcome measures. Also, the Macros/Copy Previous Note/Copy Word Document - I have created templates and macros specific for my practice style and methodology. My notes can be completed faster and more complete. And finally, their Web-based platform - which is extremely convenient.

I have been in practice for eight years at New Hope Chiropractic. I have a small office setting with one doctor and two office assistants. We have been using BackChart for the last two years. Before I began using BackChart for my electronic health records, we were using traditional patient files and a separate billing software. In most situations, my office staff was being forced to enter data into the paper chart as well as the billing software. This was becoming redundant overtime and we were looking for new software that might be able to consolidate much of the front desk workload and also improve my note-taking efficiency to enhance my patients chart information. Our office had looked for quite some time for the right software and when we began our trial version I spoke with customer support. It immediately looked and felt as if it was going to be a great fit for our office. I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed by my initial instincts after two years of using BackChart.

When we began utilizing BackChart, we spent some time becoming familiar with the system before we converted 100%. The customer support during this training was outstanding and it made the transition from our old paper records and previous billing software a very smooth and almost error-free transition. I believe that we did an initial training. About 6 to 8 hours spread out over a week of webinars. Following that, we were able to implement back chart very quickly. Throughout the implementation process we were also given continued support and if we had any questions they were answered directly through e-mail or phone, which is a great asset to have from any cloud-based company. Many companies will offer bells and whistles with their specific software, but if they lack customer support many of the tools that they might offer you is essentially useless. BackChart's customer support team from the beginning has been outstanding.

At this point, after two years of using BackChart and becoming more familiar with it over time, and modifying my specific version through my own office needs, the customer support teams helps our office. I feel that the efficiency has improved significantly, the workload has been reduced significantly, and from a patient standpoint - the clinic flow has improved as well. In general, making the decision to utilize BackChart has been a great asset for our clinic, patients, and staff. Thank you!

My clinic started using BackChart approximately two years ago and I have been extremely pleased with the product and the service they provide. The transition into the EHR was unexpectedly easy. Customer support has been personalized and productive when we have needed it. Top to bottom productivity/efficiency of my clinic has improved more than I thought possible.

I have been using BackChart for the past year and I have been impressed with how simple the system is to use, and more so, how simple the system is to customize.  With documentation, the customization is quick and reliable.  I love the idea that it is cloud based and I don't have to worry about losing all of my data.  I appreciate all of the help and education I have received from their tech support and they are always willing to lend a hand.  Thanks you guys!
