Chiropractic Office Software Reviews
Advantage Software ![]()
Advantage software offers complete practice
management solutions for chiropractors, medical professionals and
physical therapists. Their chiropractic office software features
appointment scheduling, integrated billing, full and flexible reporting
capabilities, document scanning, inventory control and marketing tools.
In addition to these features, Advantage software is also fully
customizable so it should suit the needs of both doctor and office
staff. When we contacted the company for additional details, the staff
was very friendly and helpful. Advantage chiropractic software retails
for about $3,500.00 for the full suite. Users are also required to
purchase an annual support plan which includes all training, technical
support, updates and upgrades. The cost of the support plan is around
$920.00 per year. To learn more about Advantage Chiropractic Office
Software, you can visit their website.
Future Health eConnect ![]()
Future Health has recently launched a new product
called eConnect. According to their website, eConnect contains all the
basics required for successful EHR implementation and practice management.
Their selling point is that their 'base' software is offered at no cost to
the user. So what's the catch? That's what we wanted to find out.
As previously stated, they actually do offer their software at no cost, but this applies only to their 'base' software - a barebones, stripped down version of their complete practice management system. If you want a comparable practice management system to what competitors are offering, you will need to purchase several of the add-on applications they offer for an additional fee. In our opinion, their free 'base' software is a way to 'bait' new users, who will ultimately need to purchase several of these add-ons if they want, at the very least, a practice management system that is both efficient and cost effective.
Future Health actually recommends the purchase of at least two of these add-ons which will run you about $590.00. If you want their full scale practice management system complete with all add-ons, it will run you about $6,000.00. In addition to having to buy these add-on modules, users are also required to pay for data storage which will run you about $300.00 per year for 2 gigabytes of data. As your practice grows, so to will your data storage needs. Future Health offers additional data storage for about $95.00 per year per gigabyte. We feel these data storage fees are excessive as their are many online companies offering secure data management with encryption for as little as $60.00 per year for up to 5 gigabytes. The same amount of data storage from Future Health would run you a whopping $685.00 per year! Data storage fees are an obvious source of revenue for this company and must be considered prior to electing to implement a practice management system like eConnect.
At the very least, with the purchase of the two recommended add-ons, your initial cost would be about $890.00 for the first year, with an ongoing charge of at least $300.00 per year for data storage. If you're seeking to qualify for the $44,000 government incentive, and want Future Health's assistance, there is an EHR Certification application you will need to purchase for an additional $2,495.00. In addition to our review, Future Health has received some very poor and concerning reviews from their own clients which have been posted to the Capterra software directory. QuickSOAP by Chiroconceptions Software ![]()
QuickSOAP is a note
taking software application for chiropractors. According to the company’s website,
chiroconceptions.com, the software was
developed by Dr. David Bohn, a practicing chiropractor with more than 19
years experience. In addition to creating SOAP notes, the application
includes several letters of medical necessity to help doctor’s better
communicate the need for treatment. QuickSOAP features touch screen
technology and offers desktop, laptop and server configurations. The
software can also be run on an iPad, but requires additional hardware and
configurations that will run you about $1,500 (excluding the cost of the
software). The cost for a single license starts at $1,595.00. If you wish to
network the software in your office, the cost is a whopping $3,595.00.
Support will run you an additional $295.00 - $495.00 per year. QuickSOAP is
essentially a SOAP note application – a very expensive one in our opinion.
Several other vendors offer comparable programs at a much lower cost. If
cost isn’t a concern for your office, QuickSOAP software may be just what
the doctor ordered to help reduce the time spent on documentation. To learn
more about QuickSOAP chiropractic software,

ChiroPad / ChiroOffice / ChiroSuite Software ![]()
ChiroPad is a paperless office documentation
system developed by Life Systems Software. ChiroPad is a random text
report generator that can be used to create SOAP notes and chiropractic
narrative reports. The company's website states that their random text generator can greatly
reduce the number of rejected claims which we dispute. Most claims are
rejected not because of a lack of random text generation, but because of
a lack of adequate documentation. No insurance adjuster will deny that.
ChiroPad also features several context-sensitive graphical anatomy
regions, voice capture abilities, embedded ink notes, and document
scanning so your office can move toward a paperless existence. The
ChiroPad
software also integrates completely with ChiroOffice, a more robust and
feature rich chiropractic software application that offers appointment
scheduling, patient billing, fee scheduling, insurance processing,
document scanning and patient letter generation. ChiroSuite is
essentially ChiroPad and ChiroOffice combined into one program.
ChiroSuite retails for about $3,500.00 and includes one year of free
technical support and all upgrades. After that, it will run you about
$1,000.00 per year for support and upgrades if you choose. The interface of
ChiroPad appears very "out-dated" and lacks visual appeal. This is more
than likely a result of the older technology the system was built on.

ChiroSmart EMR ![]()
ChiroSmart is a "system in development" that is
planned for release in late September 2007. Corporate states that the
system will offer advanced scheduling with capabilities for multiple
providers, billing, electronic data management and automated reporting.
Billing services will be offered through Emdeon, the nation's largest
clearinghouse. C.E.O., Bruce Shay has more than 17 years experience as a
senior developer and project manager for Intel services. He and his team
of IT professionals strongly believe that there is room for improvement
with respect to the office management systems that are currently
available to chiropractors. The company is committed to serving the
chiropractic profession and has no plans to expand to other markets at
this time. The ChiroSmart system is expected to retail for $3,499.00
with an annual support plan running an additional $600 - $800 depending
on the number of office staff. They also plan to offer a very generous
discount for new graduates and first year doctors. Clients will also
have the option of trying the complete system for 14 days at no charge
with limited support. No additional information is available at this
time. We will update this review as more information becomes available
including the official release date of the system.
Lytec Medical & ChiroChart EMR ![]()
MediPro offers two practice management software
solutions for the chiropractic office. Lytec Medical is their patient
scheduling and billing module, while ChiroChart is an electronic medical
records (EMR) solution specifically designed for chiropractors. Lytec
Medical is a complete solution for managing patient accounting,
insurance billing, claims tracking, accounts receivable, and appointment
scheduling. The cost of Lytec Medical is about $2,300. An annual support
plan will run you an additional $595 or you can opt for a "per-case" fee
of $35. Electronic billing can also be added for an additional fee of
$79 per 1,000 claims through Emdeon. ChiroChart utilizes "tabs" for easy
navigation and is designed for Tablet PC use. It is a complete EMR
system that even features a series of anatomic images and built-in
reporting capabilities. The cost of ChiroChart software is about $3,500.
Annual support will run you an additional $549. If you are searching for
a practice management system that offers scheduling, billing and EMR
capabilities, you will need to purchase both Lytec Medical and
ChiroChart which will run you about $5,800 total. An annual support plan
for the combined system will run an additional $1,144. Each of these
systems are very complete and should suit the needs of any chiropractic
office. The MediPro practice management solution is a bit costlier than
others boasting similar features and functionality. To learn more about
Lytec Medical or ChiroChart, please visit MediPro on the web.
Herfert Chiropractic Office Software ![]()
Herfert software is a complete practice management
solution for chiropractic offices. The software was designed by Dr.
Richard Herfert, a practicing chiropractor with more than 45 years
experience. Herfert chiropractic software includes front desk
features, an appointment scheduler, patient record features, report
features, HIPAA compliant billing features and much more. The software
is also completely customizable to suit individual needs of the
provider. The cost of the complete system runs $2,999.00 which
includes three months of technical support. They are currently running
a special on the complete system which has been reduced to $1,999.00.
Technical support runs about $75 per month, with an added $10 per
month charge for each additional workstation. They also offer training
for an additional fee. On the downside, the system appears to be built
around older technology, and priced slightly higher than systems
offering comparable features. A free demo is also available upon
request. For more information on this chiropractic
software, please visit their website.
